A drama covering the life and career of a talented and charismatic Australian foreign correspondent who reported on campaigns throughout the Middle East, raising numerous questions: Was he an objective observer, a Kurdish sympathiser or a CIA agent? A shrewd political animal or an idealistic meddler? Did he break the most important story in the countdown to the war in Iraq, or was he used as a political pawn?
Set against the backdrop of the Middle East, Paris and Washington, it is based on true events.
